You see, not everyones face is the same shape, length, or width. Some faces are long and thin whereas others are round and wide, some are soft and others hard or angular in appearance. But a choosing the right hair style to suit your face does a lot more that just look good, it can bring out the best in your face too. A carefully chosen hairdo can help to bring out or draw away from certain facial characteristics. Heres what Ive uncovered about faces and hair styles: The thin face: Having curls or thick wavy hair at the sides will help to widen a narrow face. The chubby round face: A simple side parting in the hair will slim down and appear to lengthen any moon face. The caricature Chin (Strong or square): Short curly hair is best here or fullness at the crown. Both styles will take the attention away from the prominent chin. The Narrow Chin: Longish hair here that is full at chin level will help to balance a narrow chin. Large Snout: A big hairdo or upswept crown will make the nose much less noticeable. The Triangular Head: Only a curly or wavy job will really soften a sharply defined cheekbone, nose or jaw line. The High forehead: A horizontal line of full bangs (fringes) to cover the forehead will help to balance the face. The Low Forehead: Simple vertical lines and a soft fullness around the crown area will appear to lengthen the face. So there we have it.
